Academic research

Research topic:

Development of novel methods for natural product structure elucidation

Raphael joined the Niedermeyer lab in November of 2020 after completing a first postdoc in the Gerwick lab, UCSD, where Raphael worked on artificial-intelligence assisted MS and NMR methods in order to facilitate and accelerate structure elucidation of novel (marine) natural products with pharmaceutical relevance. In the Niedermeyer lab, Raphael works on establishing high throughput MicroED workflows for subnanomolar Drug Discovery approaches.
